How does Uber WAV work?
With Uber WAV you will be paired with drivers who are certified by a third party in assisting differently-abled people. A dedicated vehicle equipped with a ramp or lift will arrive that accommodates a non-folding or motorized wheelchair. Drivers are trained in boarding the rider comfortably, strapping the wheelchair and securing the rider for a safe ride.

How many riders can be accompanied in an Uber WAV?
Along with the wheelchair-accessed rider, you can bring as many companions as there are seats with seat belts available in the car.

How many wheelchairs can a WAV accommodate?
Uber WAV can accommodate one wheelchair at a time.

Can we reserve an Uber WAV?
The scheduling feature is not available for Uber WAV. Once you select your destination you can see the available options and choose WAV. You will be assigned a trip based on availability.

Uber WAV is currently available in which cities in India?
Currently, Uber WAV is operational in Bangalore. However, we are working on expanding the territory.

No, Uber WAV doesn’t come with a wheelchair. Riders who use wheelchairs can request for Uber WAV and the trained drivers would assist the rider in hassle-free boarding and securely strapping the wheelchair inside the car.
