How to Buy Uber Gift Cards
Uber Gift Cards can be bought in-app or via participating external vendors. Below is how you can purchase in-app:
- Tap on the Account section of the Uber app
- Tap on the ‘Send a gift’ option
- Enter gift card details along with respective sender, recipient & delivery details
- Proceed with the payment to complete the purchase
The gift card details will be sent via email/message using the details provided.
How to Redeem Uber Gift Cards
To redeem this Uber Gift Card:
- Go to the Payment section in the Uber app
- Tap ‘+Add Payment Method’ and select Gift Card
- Enter alphanumeric Gift card pin
- You can now see your Gift Card balance added to your account in ‘Wallet’ section of the app
- Terms and Conditions
- Uber Gift Cards can only be redeemed on the Uber app, by users (both new or existing) with an active and valid Uber account.
- Once the Uber Gift Card is redeemed, the value represented by the Uber Gift Card will be reflected in the user’s account (“Gift Card Balance”).
- An Uber Gift Card is valid for 12 months from the date of its purchase (“Validity Period”), after which it (and any redeemed and unused Gift Card Balance) will expire and be forfeited.
- The Gift Card Balance may only be used for eligible services on the Uber app, within India in cities where the Uber app is available. Uber’s terms and conditions accessible at https://www.uber.com/legal/en/ shall apply to the use of the Gift Card Balance.
- The Gift Card Balance cannot be used to make payment for rides booked on UberAuto. Additional restrictions may apply to your redemption of the Uber Gift Card or use of the Gift Card balance, as notified to you by Uber or the Gift Card issuer from time to time.
- Uber Gift Cards and the Gift Card Balance are not refundable, returnable, or redeemable for cash.
