Great news for cricket fans – you can now win free tickets to the World Cup in England. All you need to do is take a few Uber rides or order on Uber Eats, and you can go from cheering in front of your TV to cheering in the stadium in England. So everytime you’re using Uber, remember that you’re getting closer and closer to the World Cup.

Once you collect a certain number of runs, you’ll qualify for a chance to win a match package for the World Cup in England, and other exciting prizes

Scoring criteria

The type of ride you take and value of the order (post promotions) you place decide the number of runs you make.

For rides taken on UberAuto, UberMoto, UberPool, UberGo
For Uber Eats orders between Rs. 100 & Rs. 250

For rides taken on UberPremier, UberInterCity, UberXL, UberHire
For Uber Eats orders above Rs. 250

Rewards Eligibility

Scoring a certain number of runs within a specific time period will make you eligible for winning rewards such as World Cup packages, that includes Match tickets, travel and stay. Runs scored in a week will be carried forward to subsequent weeks. Please refer to T&Cs below.

 You can keep a check on your total score in the Help section of your Uber & Uber Eats app. Any time you want to track your progress, tap on Menu > Help > World Cup Runs & Rewards > Know your score

Further information on how to collect your reward will be given over the phone
In case you don’t meet the first target score required, your runs will cumulate and get added to the runs you score the following week for you to meet the second target score, and so on.

1. How do I enroll into this program?

You automatically get registered if you are a Uber user.

2. How do I opt out of this program?

You can opt of communication from Uber by unsubscribing or turning off notifications from your email or mobile device.

3. If I don’t qualify for the 1st week but manage to score runs required for the second week, will I be eligible?

Yes, you will be eligible for the second week draw as per the runs needed to qualify; 40 runs.

4. How will the winners get to know if they have won?

Winners will be informed via phone call as well as through SMS & e-mail to your registered Uber account details.

5. My discount did not apply. What should I do?

Only users who have scored 50 runs to qualify will be able to apply the promo. The promo code needs to be entered in the app to receive the discount.

6. How does my promo get applied to my account?

Promo codes need to be manually applied. Go to the ‘Payment’ section of your Uber app & enter the promo code under ‘Promotions’.

7. How many trips do I need to unlock the rewards promo?

You have to score 50 runs to unlock the promo.

8. I didn’t receive the promo code. What should I do?

Promo code details are in the blog itself. Only users who have qualified will be eligible to apply the promo code.

9. Can I choose the match if I win?

Matches will be selected at Uber’s discretion based on the schedule of the World Cup & draw.

10. Where do I check the draw results?

Draw winners will be informed via phone on how to collect the rewards.

11. How will the winners be selected?

Winners will be chosen from all eligible participants, at random, via an algorithm.

12. What’s the maximum amount of discount I can unlock with the promo code?

Rides: 25% off upto Rs 75 on 5 trips. Eats: 50% upto Rs 50 on 5 orders.

13. Can I use my promo for all trip types, or just UberGo?

You can use it for all trips.

14. Do UberEats orders count towards my runs?

Yes, any order between Rs 100 and Rs 250 will get you 4 runs and any order above Rs 250 will get you 6 runs.

15. How long is my promo valid for?

Promos will be valid till 31st July 2019.

16. How long will this game run for?

This game will run from 13th May 2019 to 14th July 2019.

17. Which matches can I win for?

You can win tickets for any one of the World Cup matches. Match tickets will be distributed at Uber’s discretion depending on the World Cup schedule.

18. Is there any Minimum fare/ distance for trips to qualify as runs?

All completed trips will be counted towards your total run score as per the scoring detailed above.

19. Does the score include both rides & eats orders?

Yes, the score is the sum of both rides & eats orders as per the qualifications above.

20. If I win, how do I apply for the visa?

Uber will not be responsible for the visa requirements & procurement for users. Uber will provide the match tickets, accommodation & flight tickets.

21. Can I send someone instead of me to the matches?

The rewards are non-transferrable. Only the Uber user who has won will be eligible to avail the match packages/rewards.

22. Are the promo codes applicable only for the first 50 runs scored or the subsequent 50 runs as well?

Both promos can only be won once on scoring your first 50 runs.

23. Do we get both rides and eats promos?

Yes, you will receive both promotion details once you’ve scored 50 runs.

Rides: 25% off up to Rs 75 on 5 trips

Eats: 50% up to Rs 50 on 5 orders.
Terms & Conditions
- 5 weekly draws for match packages between May 13 and June 16
- Sweepstakes for match packages ends on June 16th (users will get at least 18 days to apply for their visas)
- One promo code for all users; only users that qualify will be able to start using them through their Uber account.
- Sweepstakes for ICC Kits & Jerseys signed by Virat Kohli end on July 14
- Uber promo codes will be given out beginning May 30th (start of the Word Cup) as and when you complete 50 runs (with a max lag of 48 hours)
- Users that score 50 runs before May 30th will be able to use the promo from May 30th onwards till July 31st
- Users will still be eligible for the sweepstakes draw even after they use Uber Promotions/Incentives
- The promo is on a FCFS basis only
- Only trips that are completed will be counted towards the total run score
- Trips will be counted from May 13 to July 14 towards the total run score
- Winner Selection: An algorithm/formula at Uber’s discretion will randomly select winners from all eligible participants who have fulfilled the criteria of scoring X runs
- All the winners of the draw will be called and asked a simple question to confirm their acceptance of the rewards.
- Photographs of winners will be used for marketing purposes at Uber’s discretion
