As you may have read, the Goods and Services Tax kicked in on 1st July, 2017. With this move, we’re happy to announce that Uber is also GST compliant effective as on the same day.
What does this mean?
- The service tax applicable on every ride apart from MOTO has thus lowered from 6% to 5%
- Service tax on MOTO rides has been removed completely
- Your invoices will accurately reflect the move as well as provide additional information on the breakup between Central GST and State GST or InterState GST as applicable
We strongly believe that transparency is key to ensuring that we are GST compliant and contributing to the vision for one nation, one tax, one market.
