So to align closer with these goals, we’re rolling out a minor adjustment to our fares on uberGO and uberX, on 11th February 2017. While this increase takes effect, Uber remains the most affordable and reliable ride in Chennai.

Even with a 50 paise change in ‘ride time fare’ per minute on uberGO and uberX, a ₹10 change in base fare and a ₹1 change in distance fare on uberX, Uber continues to be your most affordable and reliable option in Chennai. And as always, uberPOOL continues to be up to 50% more affordable than uberGO.  With upfront pricing in the app, you will always know exactly how much you need to pay before you take a ride – this way, you get to decide what’s best for you and your budget.
