We’ve seen Chennai come together to #KeepChennaiMoving these past few days and we want to do our bit to help. Today, through the uberAID option in the app, between 9AM – 1PM – you will be able to request a car to come to your door and collect supplies that you wish to donate.
We have partnered with Practo to seamlessly collect your donations and deliver them to Chennai – where help is needed the most. Bangalore, let’s help to #KeepChennaiMoving.
HOW TO GIVE ESSENTIAL ITEMS
Slide over to the uberAID vehicle option and request a vehicle between 9AM and 1PM, today and an uberAID vehicle will come to your pickup location to accept your contributions for free.
Through our app you will be able to request a vehicle to come to your pick up location, collect your contribution and deposit it safely to the Practo collection points. Practo will then deliver these supplies to Chennai. Thank you for contributing and helping to #KeepChennaiMoving.
HOW IT WORKS
- Today, December 5, fire up your Uber app any time between 9AM and 1PM.
- Slide over to the uberAID option on the slider at the bottom of the screen and click on the ‘REQUEST PICKUP’ button.
- An uberAID vehicle will come to your pickup location to accept your contributions for FREE
- At the end of the activity, each vehicle will drop off all collected contributions to the Practo collection points
URGENTLY NEEDED RELIEF MATERIAL
- Bottled Water
- Medicines
- Blankets
- Dry ration (non- expensive reasonably good quality rice, pulses, spices, milk powder, tea leaves, sugar, biscuits)
- Sanitary pads, Basic toiletries (non- expensive soaps, paste, tooth brush, detergent)
- Basic medicines
- Disinfectant
- Water purifier tablets
