Uber Partners with PSSI to Support Indonesia-Iceland Friendly Match
Written byFollowing the ongoing partnership between Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) and Uber that was announced in last November, Uber as the official rider partner with PSSI supports the friendly match between Indonesia and Iceland at the Stadium of Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, on January 14th, 2018.
Before competing with Iceland – the team that made the qualification stage of the World Cup 2018 – Indonesian National Football Team spare their time to meet and greet a few of Uber driver partners’ children today.
“We thank PSSI and Indonesian football team who have spent their time to meet the children of Uber driver partners. We hope that it will inspire the children to pursue their dreams,” said Dian Safitri, Head of Communication, Indonesia, Uber.
Uber also provides a special promo for the football fans who want to come and support the national team. By simply putting the promo code TIMNASDAY, riders who takes trip to and from the Stadium of Gelora Bung Karno on January 14th, 2018 can enjoy a discount.
“We truly appreciate the support from all parties, especially Uber as the official ride-sharing partner of PSSI. With Uber, we know that players and supporters can enjoy the best ride,” said Secretary General Deputy (Commercial) PSSI, Marsal Masita.
Last year, Uber also supported PSSI during the friendly match with the national team of Syria and Guinea. Both matches were held at Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Cikarang, West Java.
Uber is no stranger in the field of football. Early 2017, Uber also supported Manchester United. As part of the partnership, there is a pick-up and drop off point for Uber riders in Old Trafford Stadium. Uber riders in 200 cities also receive access to exclusive videos of Manchester United’s players.
