Over the past few years, the bond between Uber and sports has grown stronger: from our global partnership with Manchester United to our collaboration with the US National Football League.

Now, it’s the turn of Indonesia, where we have become the official ridesharing partner of the Football Association of Indonesian (Persatuan Sepak Bola Seluruh Indonesia, or PSSI). This marks the first time Uber has partnered with an Indonesian sporting team, and we are truly excited to provide Indonesian football fans with a dedicated Uber experience to and from the stadium on game day.

Uber will be providing two and four-wheeled ridesharing options to help get football fans to a series of friendly matches from November to January 2018. During this period, Indonesia will be playing against several countries, including Syria and Guyana. In January, Uber will also support the first major football game to take place in the newly renovated Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in the heart of Jakarta.

As part of the partnership, football fans can order safe and convenient Uber rides to travel to and from games. New users can use special promo codes (TIMNASDAY) valid until January 2018, offering 70 percent discounts for the first two rides worth up to 35.000 rupiah. A dedicated pick-up and drop-off point will also be positioned at the main entrance of the stadium.

“Friendly football matches are a great source of national pride, and Uber is proud to partner with PSSI to bring together thousands of fans to cheer for their national team,” says Chan Park, Uber’s General Manager for South East Asia.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with PSSI to not only make match day transportation more seamless, but to provide both and players fans with incredible Uber experiences each time the Indonesian national team takes on another country.”
