Uber announces a new round of “Move What Matters” program in Hong Kong in partnership with the Hospital Authority (HA). Uber will be pledging HK$1 million worth of 10,000 Uber Taxi rides to support healthcare professionals and supporting staff of HA hospitals to thank them for their dedication in safeguarding our health and helping patients combat COVID-19.  Uber is committed to supporting Hong Kong’s fight against its worst wave of pandemic outbreak, and we join Hong Kongers to thank them wholeheartedly.

“We express heartfelt thank you to Uber for their kind initiative in boosting the morale of our healthcare workers. The move is in recognition of their efforts during this severe moment of the epidemic,” says the Hospital Authority.

Estyn Chung, General Manager of Uber Hong Kong says, “This has been one of the toughest yet waves we have experienced in Hong Kong, and our healthcare workers are working around the clock, dedicating their best efforts to help our community. A comfortable and safe journey can give them a moment to recharge, and at times like this, we want to do our part to help. Uber is thankful to once again partner with HA to support healthcare workers during this unprecedented time.”
