Uber is committed to providing end-to-end high quality service. One way that we ensure this is based on the 5-star rating process after every trip. Riders rate their experience, and driver partners do the same.

In Accra, we set rating thresholds for drivers to achieve in order to continuously be able to log onto, and make use of the Uber platform. If their ratings dip below the thresholds set, the driver partner will have their access temporarily suspended and they will need to come in for retraining sessions.

This is why it is very important that you remember to rate your driver and do so accurately.

When rating an Uber Driver Partner, there are three things to look at:

  • Vehicle Qualitywas the car clean and in good condition?
  • Servicewas the driver-partner friendly? Did they ask your preference on temperature, route and radio station?  
  • Driving Abilitywas this a smooth and comfortable ride?

Here are some guidelines around rating your driver:

★★★★★ – This was a great trip. The driver was approachable, helpful and the car was presentable. You reached your destination on time and were able to sit back and relax. Overall, it was a seamless experience and you left in a good mood.
★★★★ – This was a near perfect experience but one thing, such as the pickup or the driver partner’s use of the GPS, wasn’t quite right.
★★★ – This was an average trip. You experienced one of the following: the driver was unpleasant to be on a trip with, the car was not presentable, or the driver got lost. Your overall experience was not a good experience.
★★ – This was a bad experience. You experienced more than one of the following: the driver was unpleasant to be on a trip with, the car was not presentable, or the driver got lost.
– This was a terrible trip. Everything was wrong with this trip. The driver partner was rude and the vehicle was not in a good condition. Estimated time of arrival was missed and the driver was not able to follow the GPS correctly.

Please do not rate a driver poorly if the fare is more than usual because of dynamic pricing. Simply give them a service rating and then send us a comment stating your dissatisfaction with the price.
