What is Uber’s EV Assistance?
EV Assistance is a financial grant introduced by Uber to support London drivers with the upfront cost of purchasing an electric vehicle (EV) to drive on the Uber app. It can be used to lower the cost of a new or used EV when opting for a vehicle through one of our partners or your provider of choice!

How is EV Assistance accumulated?
Before March 2022: For drivers who took trips on the Driver app between 16 January 2019 and 14 March 2022, in London inside the M25, a ‘Clean Air Fee’ was collected from Riders fares. his money was collected as ‘EV Assistance’.
From May 2024: Through our PowerUp Package, eligible non-EV drivers in London can qualify for £5,000 in EV Assistance towards the cost of switching to an EV.
