You are now able to see our new ‘Allergy Request’ settings in Uber Eats Manager when you navigate to the “Settings’ tab and then scroll to the bottom of ‘General Settings’. If you opt in to these settings, your customers will begin to see a new ‘Allergy Request’ option in the app.
Customers that wish to make a food allergy request will then be able to add their requirements in a dedicated section, which means:
- Clear allergy callouts: you’ll receive a special notification any time a customer uses the new Allergy Request option, with allergy requests highlighted in bold text and in red on your tablet and called out clearly on your receipts.
- Simplified refunds: when a specific allergy request cannot be accommodated, you’ll be able to reject the request (which will issue the customer a refund) or give the option to adjust their order.
- Easier customer outreach: if you’d like, you can also opt in to receive calls from customers with specific allergy-related questions so that you can communicate with them directly. This will help you ensure that you’re on the same page about food preparation and allergy needs.
Opt in today by going to the ‘General Settings’ section of Uber Eats Manager, or learn more here.
