We know that Uber works best when both riders and drivers are reaping the benefits. Riders need access to safe, reliable and affordable transport, and driver-partners need to make a sustainable living while driving on Uber in order to help keep Egypt moving.

We believe in transparency when it comes pricing and this is why we will always go above and beyond to ensure that our pricing is communicated clearly to both our riders and drivers.

2018 Pricing:

2018 Long Distance Pricing

To make sure our pricing is more fair towards both our riders and drivers, long distance trips where flat fares previously applied will be priced using long distance variable pricing. This will allow us to give a tailored price for each trip rather than relying on estimates.

*Surge will not apply to the additional surcharge

To help make things more clear, here’s an example:

A trip from Cairo to Alexandria using the new long distance variable pricing would cost around ~775 EGP (Base Fare 7 EGP + 2 EGP Per Km x 230 km + 0.3 EGP Per min x 190 mins + EGP 1.25 per km x (230 km – 30 km))
