Kingston, Windsor, and Niagara Region – your Uber has arrived!

Starting at 3pm today, residents of Windsor, Kingston, and Niagara Region will have access to the safety, convenience, and reliability of Uber at prices cheaper than a traditional taxi. The best part? New Uber users will get their first 2 rides free up to $20 each until Sunday, November 15 at midnight.

uberX is our low-cost, ridesharing option that seamlessly connects people with safe, reliable, and affordable rides. All driver-partners must undergo Uber’s rigorous screening process. Learn more about Uber’s commitment to safety in Ontario here.

HOW TO GET RIDING

  • New to Uber? Download the app (iOS, Android or Windows Phone).
  • Select the uberX icon, set your pickup location, and request your ride.
  • Meet your driver curbside. You’ll see the exact location of your ride, the driver-partner’s license plate number, and a way to contact them anonymously.
  • Enjoy the ride! Uber is a cashless experience. After the trip, the payment method on your Uber account will be charged and you’ll be emailed a receipt.

PRO TIP: If you don’t see an uberX at first, don’t worry! Availability may be limited while we’re offering free rides. Just refresh your Uber app after a few minutes to request a ride – you’ll be on your way in no time.
