Niagara Rider Zero: MPP Tim Hudak!
Written byNiagara Region, we’re finally here! And who better to kick off the launch of uberX as our “Rider Zero” than Niagara West-Glanbrook’s Member of Provincial Parliament, Tim Hudak!
“It’s good news for Niagara residents that sharing economy innovations like Uber have reached the Peninsula. Residents and visitors will now have a new and convenient transportation option at the touch of a screen on their smartphones. It also means Niagara residents with good driving records can earn some extra money for their rainy day fund while driving,” said MPP Hudak.
HOW TO GET RIDING
- New to Uber? Download the app (iOS, Android or Windows Phone).
- Select the uberX icon, set your pickup location, and request your ride.
- Meet your driver curbside. You’ll see the exact location of your ride, the driver-partner’s license plate number, and a way to contact them anonymously.
- Enjoy the ride! Uber is a cashless experience. After the trip, the payment method on your Uber account will be charged and you’ll be emailed a receipt.
PRO TIP: If you don’t see an uberX at first, don’t worry! Availability may be limited while we’re offering free rides to new Uber users. Just refresh your Uber app after a few minutes to request a ride – you’ll be on your way in no time.
