Every Canadian lives with mental health–it touches us all–and yet there’s still a large stigma that surrounds it. We need to end the silence and speak up to transform the way we think about mental health.

This is why we teamed up with Jack.org, to increase awareness about mental health in Toronto. Jack.org is a leading mental health charity in Canada that is creating programs designed for young people, by young people, to help end the stigma with millennials.

To spark positive conversations across our city, we encouraged uberPOOL riders to strike conversations about mental health while they shared their rides. For each uberPOOL ride taken, we donated $1 to Jack.org’s annual Jack Summit. The results? Thousands of voices speaking up in our city and $10,000 donated to help end the silence.

A simple conversation can go a long way.
