On October 23rd, Uber Quebec will join the Breast Cancer Society of Canada in order to celebrate breast cancer awareness month, during Dress for the Cause.

We encourage female uberX driver-partners in the province of Quebec to get behind the wheel that day, since Uber will be donating all of its service fees on the trips completed by women partners to the Society of Breast Cancer Canada.

We also invite riders to use uberX during this special day in order to raise the largest amount possible!

Update – October 26th, 2015: This initiative has allowed us to make a donation of $692.38 to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada. Thanks to all women partner-drivers of Montreal and Quebec City who took the wheel October 23rd!

Why is it important?

1 in 9 Canadian women is expected to develop breast cancer during her lifetime. This year, an estimated 25,000 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Approximately 14 Canadian women die of breast cancer every day. Of all estimated new cancers in women, breast cancer cases make up an estimated 26%.
