Start your night off with a drink at The Rhino. A laid back local dive with a comprehensive list of beers and ciders—you’ll be sure to find something that suits you both. There’s also a huge patio in the summer that’s perfect for day or night.

If the casual scene is going over well, just roll with it! You can’t go wrong sitting at the bar for tacos at Grand Electric or grabbing a picnic table on the winter-ready patio at Electric Mud BBQ for some Toronto-style BBQ.  If pico and pork aren’t your thing, take your special someone to The Shameful Tiki Room, the perfect Parkdale tiki bar serving Hawaiian snacks and exotic cocktails. Be sure to ask about their mystery drink, perfect for sharing.

Looking to move on to something fancier? Restaurant Chantecler, is one of the best in the neighbourhood, with a warm and welcoming dining room and great music. Chantecler offers a range of shareable plates (we’d recommend 3-4 small plates and 1 large plate) and French flavours. The Oysters and the Half Stuffed Chicken are a must!

Cap off the night with a stop at Boreal Gelato. They serve up amazing artisanal gelato with many dairy-free options. Otherwise, grab a coffee at Capital Espresso. Just be sure to pop a mint afterwards.
