Carpool Week kicks off in Toronto today! We want to encourage Torontonians to leave their cars at home so they can share their ride with uberPOOL. Our goal is to facilitate 75,000km of shared rides across the city over the course of Carpool Weekthat’s equivalent to going from Halifax to Vancouver 12 times.

Since uberPOOL launched in our city only a few weeks ago, Torontonians have been sharing their trips across the city—this means more people in fewer cars. Over time, this should help reduce congestion on our roads.

Congestion continues to be a major issue in our city, with studies reporting as much as $6 billion being wasted each year in lost productivity as Torontonians struggle through their commutes.1 That’s why it’s so exciting to see riders in Toronto truly embrace uberPOOL.

Let’s achieve our Carpool Week goal together and help reduce congestion in our city.

Congratulations Toronto! Thanks for helping us achieve our goal of 75,000 shared uberPOOL KM for Carpool Week!
