Winter is approaching and many people in need are heading everyday to Resto du Coeur of Saint-Gilles to be able to enjoy a hot meal in a welcoming and heartwarming place. This would certainly not be possible without the dedicated and efficient teams, and the generosity of Brussels’ people who regularly make in-kind donations.

This year we would like to contribute by offering you the opportunity to take part to #uberCOEUR this Saturday, December 12 and make an in-kind donation to Resto du Coeur of Saint-Gilles through the Uber app.

ON-DEMAND FOOD DRIVE
IN THE BRUSSELS REGION
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2015

When you are grocery shopping this week, buy some extra canned food, toothpaste tubes or coffee packs in preparation for the food drive that we’re organizing this Saturday via the Uber app.

Here is the list of items that would very much be appreciated by Resto du Coeur of Saint-Gilles:

  • Ground coffee
  • Full-fat milk
  • Desserts (waffles, cakes, etc.) with a long shelf life
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned food (full meal type: tuna, vegetables, etc.) that doesn’t need to be heated nor opened with a can opener
  • Toothpaste, razors, washing powder, soap

HOW TO PROCEED?

  • Open the Uber app on Saturday, December 12, between 11am and 5pm
  • Select the uberCOEUR option
  • Enter your address and order an Uber
  • A volunteer will come and pick up the bags that you will have prepared in advance
  • Donations are FREE of charge and go entirely to Resto du Coeur of Saint-Gilles
