After music mogul Simon Cowell starred as the moody Grey Wiggle and following the Wiggles subsequent announcement they would be expanding their talent roster – there’s been more famous faces putting their hands up for a spot in the big red car, submitting cheeky audition tapes for the famed musical troupe to consider.

Superstar sportsman Dylan Alcott, who will soon be chasing gold at the Paralympics in Tokyo, halted his busy training regime to eye off a green and gold garment for his bulging trophy cabinet. The recent Wimbledon champion served up some on court notes in his tongue in cheek audition before conceding he should probably stick to tennis.

Not to be out-dazzled, and soaring on a high following a smouldering appearance on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, Art Simone has laced up the stilettos for a chance to chase down a coveted colourful rainbow skivvy, opting to augment the audition tape with flying confetti and disco lights.

Fresh off calls for her to perform at the Opening Ceremony at the Brisbane games, Nikki Webster revealed she was chasing down a strawberry coloured turtleneck, icing her audition with a nod to another iconic Wiggles song, suggesting that – “fruit salad is always better with strawberry.”

Reality TV sensation Abbie Chatfield has her eyes locked on adding another shade of rose to her wardrobe. The Bachelor alumni revealed she was nervous because auditioning to join the Wiggles as the peach member ‘means a lot to her.’

Wading through the applications is famed talent judge, cultural phenom and the latest temporary addition to the wonderful world of the Wiggles, Simon Cowell, currently moonlighting as the Grey member of the troupe and not immediately convinced by the celebrity submissions, “I’m thrilled with the Uber Eats campaign, it was so much fun to make and I’ve had a great time being the grey Wiggle. What’s been amazing about the campaign is that it has connected so many people of different ages and backgrounds.’

Cowell crowning Dylan Alcott as his favourite entry from the celebrity versions.

Emma Wiggle has also been taken by the campaign, and was full of praise for the four celebrity audition tapes following the revelation of the new Wiggles cast mates – “These submissions were a lot of fun to watch, with some bowtiful talents on display. It’s always so nice to learn that there are Wiggly fans from a variety of ages and interests. This Uber Eats campaign has been a delightful reminder of that.”

For the Head of Marketing for Uber Eats in ANZ, David Griffiths it shows the latest Tonight I’ll Be Eating has hit a cultural chord at a moment in time where Australians are looking for a laugh, “It’s been rewarding and hilarious to see so many Aussies rally around our campaign and support The Wiggles in their effort to outshine Simon Cowell as the intruding Grey Wiggle. These latest celeb videos are just the rays of positivity we all need right now in a campaign designed to deliver more than just showcasing the diverse cuisines available on our platform.”
