Trading Dad Jokes for Reserve Rides with the King of Dad Jokes himself, Jack Whitehall
Written byYesterday we released our latest advertising campaign for Uber Reserve, featuring British comedian Jack Whitehall demonstrating why it pays to be prepared and schedule an Uber Reserve ride whenever you need to escape a sticky situation.
To celebrate the collaboration and Father’s Day this Sunday, we’ve teamed up with the recent first-time dad to find Australia’s best Dad joke, encouraging Aussies to trade a gag in return for a promo code for up to $100 off a Reserve ride on Uber this Father’s Day.*
Inspired by his recent royal roasting, where the future King of England publicly shamed Whitehall out for his Dad Joke humour, we thought Jack could – well – freshen up his repertoire, and where better to find it than our nation of banter loving Larrikins. In fact nearly 1 in 5 Aussies say Dad Jokes are the “best” form of humour…
Not only will submissions be rewarded with a promo code for a reserve ride on us, but the best entry will be selected to win a years’ worth of Reserve rides on us^. All you have to do is submit your best – or worst – gag here by midnight AEST on Thursday 29th August to be in the running for the prize.
To wet your whistle, we surveyed the nation to find some inspiration, and some bangers (or clangers?) included:
- How do you make a sausage roll? Push it down a hill.
- Why did the whale blush? It saw the ocean’s bottom.
- What kind of underpants do lawyers wear? Briefs.
Entrants must be an Uber account holder residing in Australia aged 18+. See full promotion Terms and Conditions at http://z.uber.com/fathersdayTnC
* Does not apply to fees and tolls. To redeem the promo code, you must complete an Uber Reserve trip between 9am – 9pm AEST on 1 September 2024.
^Year’s worth of Uber Reserve trips prize is a promo code for up to $100 off one Uber Reserve trip per week for 52 weeks. Does not apply to fees and tolls.
