More than 3.8 million Aussies use the Uber app regularly to access convenient transport at the touch of a button. We’re so excited to announce that, from today, even more Aussies can benefit from safe, affordable rides as we celebrate our official launch in six regional cities across New South Wales: Bathurst, Coffs Harbour, Orange, Port Macquarie, Tamworth and Wagga Wagga.

We know that convenient transport options can be limited, especially during the evenings and on weekends. With residents of regional New South Wales front of mind, we’re delighted to announce the roll-out of Uber in six new NSW cities just in time for the busy summer season: perfect for locals who want more choice in how they travel, especially ahead of events such as Bathurst’s New Year’s Eve Party in the Park, the annual Toyota Country Music Festival in Tamworth, and the summer school holidays.

By launching Uber in these areas, we also welcome local drivers who will have complete flexibility to drive as and when it suits them. We hope that the opportunity to make some extra money will make a positive impact on the lives of locals.

We’re so excited by the positive reception of Uber in larger cities, and now we are looking forward to diversifying the transport options available to people living in regional areas too.
