Melbourne’s Little Saigon, Victoria Street, is famed for its vast array of predominantly Vietnamese and Asian restaurants.

So at the start of 2016 when Alan Chuy, Henry Le, and Tony Plunkett joined forces to open On It Burgers Abbotsford, a gourmet American-style burger joint, it was not only ambitious but its success depended on its ability to infiltrate a  heavily Asian dominated market.

Henry and Alan grew up in the area and always had ambitions of one day opening their own restaurant in the cultural epicentre. With On It Burgers in Ferntree Gully already making waves in the east, the time had naturally come to bring it closer to the city.

Now with burgeoning success on UberEATS , On It Burgers has reaffirmed its status amongst Melbourne’s best burger joints.

As a launch partner on UberEATS, owner Alan Chuy has been impressed with the impact it’s had.

“It’s been massive for us, it’s added a huge amount to our business, but not only that our team find the interface really easy to use.”  Alan said.

The owners have a simple yet savvy approach to their food, they pride themselves on premium ingredients with 100% Grass Fed Beef, fresh produce, all of which is complimented by a hand-made method. Everything from the packaging to the ingredients have been carefully crafted with delivery in mind ensuring the burgers, fries and even onion rings travel well.

Certainly a point of difference exists with the black squid ink buns which even Alan admits have exceeded expectations.

“We’ve been surprised with how well they’ve been received. People will come in and order a regular burger and ask for it with the black bun, then naturally put it on Instagram…they’re also hugely popular on UberEATS.” Alan said.

Alan has even met first time customers who have tried their burgers on the UberEATS platform who have subsequently been compelled to visit the store itself. Resultant of the traffic it has received over the first month on UberEATS even partners now frequent On It Burgers.

“We have two regular drivers that eat here, they decided to come in after receiving quite a few orders just to see why everyone had been ordering from here. Now they love it, they eat here all the time.”  – Alan Chuy, Owner of On It Burgers, Abbotsford.

Not only is On It Burger now available closer to the city, it is now available to you through the UberEATS app.
