We’ve been cooking up something new – an app that makes getting great food as easy as requesting a ride. It’s our new food delivery platform, and it’s called UberEATS!

As Australia’s most famous foodie destination, Melbourne will become only the third international city in the world to get its hands on the new, standalone, UberEATS app.

UberEATS will launch in collaboration with over 80 of Melbourne’s best local restaurants, opening up a diverse range of culinary experiences, cuisines and cultures to local communities across the city.

From Tuesday 19th April, Melburnians can download and open the UberEATS app – available on iOS and Android – to choose from hundreds of dishes from the finest restaurants in town, including Super Normal, Gazi, Pidapipo, Serotonin and Jimmy Grants, and have it delivered directly to their door.

With hours of operation from 11.00am to 10.00pm, seven days a week, Melburnians can get great food quickly delivered to their door anywhere in Melbourne’s inner suburbs – from Windsor to Carlton, Richmond to West Melbourne, and everywhere in between. And delivery is FREE for a limited time.

The new UberEATS app is here.

“Melbourne is the ultimate foodie city, and UberEATS enables us to help more people access the city’s great food, from top restaurants in their suburb and beyond. Our goal is to offer people what they want to eat, when they want to eat, in the quickest time possible.” – Simon Rossi, General Manager, UberEATS Australia.

UberEATS supports local restaurants

UberEATS gives local restaurants a reliable delivery option, effectively expanding their capacity and reach to be able to service a whole new network of potential customers.

Now restaurants can depend on the Uber delivery network to get more meals delivered to more customers, quickly and reliably whenever they are open.

With tables at Gazi often requiring a booking well in advance, George Calombaris says partnering with UberEATS will make Gazi more easily accessible to more people.

“UberEATS is what we’ve always wanted from a delivery service – now we can deliver our great food, in a seamless way, directly to people’s door.”  – George Calombaris, Owner, Gazi.

For Andrew McConnell’s Supernormal, UberEATS will help him bring the tastes of Asia directly to people’s door.

“Supernormal is about experiencing the fast-paced and vibrant experience of the food culture in Tokyo. UberEATS will help us bring this experience to people’s homes, workplaces or even hotel rooms.”Andrew McConnell, Owner, Supernormal.
