Global Leaders and delegates alike have flocked to Brisbane this week for the G20 Summit. While Brisbane navigates road closures and the traffic-stopping motorcades of the likes of Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, it’s your turn to be on the other side of the glass!

TODAY from 10 am – 4 pm Uber is giving you the chance to Ride Like A President! Ride around Brisbane in your very own motorcade – the Ubercade!

What’s an Ubercade?

A line up of three black vehicles escorting an Uber rider: YOU! Heads will turn as you ride around town in a sleek sedan, flanked by two SUVs with your very own “Uber Secret Service Agents.”

The best part? Ubercade is FREE!

HOW IT WORKS

  1. On Thursday 13th November from 10am – 4pm, open your Uber app and select the “Ubercade” view
  2. Check the ETA and hit “REQUEST Ubercade”
  3. Share your ride using the hashtag #Ubercade

*The Ubercade is designed to let you Ride Like a President, not rush to an important meeting. If you need to travel from A to B, please book uberX.
**Ubercade rides will be in high demand with limited availability.
***Ubercade will avoid Brisbane Metro including all G20 exclusion zones and high traffic areas.

 G20 TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

When booking an Uber during G20, please be mindful of road closures and increased traffic conditions which may cause delayed pick-ups or extended ETAs. Pick-ups will not be available in closed areas including South Bank, North Quay and the Ivory Tunnel area.

Road Closure Guide

  • Tuesday 11th – Thursday 13th 7pm: minor road closures
  • Thursday 13th 7pm – Monday 17th 5am: more significant road closures
  • Friday 14th – Sunday 16th: additional closures – lasting up to 1 hr – to allow “Official” motorcades into the G20 area.
