We regularly host feedback sessions for driver and delivery partners, such as roundtables and focus groups, and often hear from partners that tax time can be confusing.

To respond to this demand, we’ve linked with financial specialists and developed an online financial statement tool to help partners fulfil their individual tax obligations.

We have developed an easy tool for driver and delivery partners to download their full year 2017/18 financial statement online. It’s simple and easy to use – simply login, fill in the details, and a summary will be created that partners can use for the individual tax return.

All transactions completed using the Uber app are electronically recorded, transparent and traceable, and all driver and delivery partners using the Uber app to earn money are solely responsible for complying with their tax obligations. Uber does not withhold or file any tax on partners’ behalf.

To further assist partners using the Uber app to make flexible earnings, Airtax has developed a ‘Guide to Tax for Rideshare Drivers’ as well as online tax articles  that partners might find useful.

As part of the Momentum program, H&R Block is offering driver and delivery partners discounted services, and is also providing optional in-person information sessions in selected Uber Greenlight Hubs. Quickbook, a receipt/expense management tool, has recently joined the Momentum Program to grant partners discounted access to their service.

We hope these initiatives help partners to fulfil their individual tax obligations at tax time.
