Following our recent commitment to addressing gender-based violence and assault in Australia and New Zealand, today we are we are proud to announce a third local grant.

Australia Says NO MORE is a national campaign to raise awareness to end domestic violence and sexual assault, and this local grant extends the existing partnerships that Uber has with NO MORE in the US and the UK as part of the global Driving Change initiative.

This follows our activity in support of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women in November, when we announced our work with organisations around the globe on prevention programs.

Locally this includes financial grants for WESNET (Women’s Services Network) in Australia and the Sexual Abuse Prevention Network (SAPN) in New Zealand via to assist them to continue to do their work in the community – as well as education for partners and staff.

This new grant for Australia Says NO MORE is designed to help this newly formed local chapter to progress their education and awareness campaign – and encourage more Aussies to say “no more” to domestic violence and sexual assault.

As we head into 2019, we will continue to raise the bar and explore additional ways to improve safety measures for all people using the Uber app and in our communities.
