How does Uber Reserve work?
Request a ride up to 90 days in advance at any time of the day. Make sure to schedule a Reserve trip more than 90 minutes prior to your departure to access the full benefits of the trip.
To schedule a Reserve trip, go to the Uber app on your mobile device and:
- Select Reserve on the home page in the app
- Enter your trip information and select your ride of choice
- Confirm your trip
To revisit your trip details prior to the trip, simply select Reserve on the home page in the app.
What makes an Uber Reserve trip different to other trips?

- Ready when you are: Your ride is on your schedule. An additional wait time is included in your fare for your convenience, and your driver will wait up to 15 minutes after your scheduled pick-up1.

- Perfect for business travel: There’s no need to wake a loved one for that early-morning flight. Uber Reserve is available at all major airports2.
Your business ride in three easy steps
- Reserve: Tap the Reserve icon in your updated Uber app. Reserve your ride at least 30 minutes in advance.
- Receive confirmation: Reference your reservation details in the app and get your driver’s details as your business trip nears. Cancel at no charge up to one hour in advance3.
- Ride: Meet your driver outside within the wait time included in your reservation and enjoy the ride!
Reserve Airport Pick Ups
With Uber Reserve Airport Pickups, riders can schedule a trip up to 90 days in advance from their destination airport, with flight tracking technology to help ensure a ride is ready and waiting, whether their flight is early, on time or delayed2. Reserve Airport Pick Up is available on both economy (e.g. UberX) and premium (Uber Premier) products. The fare already includes between 45 and 60 minutes wait time after your flight lands.
When you request a Reserve trip, the trip price you see will be an estimate that includes a variable reservation fee. The exact amount of the reservation fee may vary depending on the location of the pickup address, and/or the day and time of your trip (up to a maximum of $19.99).
Reserve airport pickup is now available in Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney airports. Get started with Uber Reserve today by visiting your updated Uber app.

Uber doesn’t guarantee that a driver will accept your ride request. Your ride is confirmed once you receive your driver details.
3. Reserve trips made in advance are subject to a cancellation fee. Cancellation fees for Reserve are higher than with on-demand. You can cancel for free at any time prior to receiving your driver details. If you’ve received your driver details and you cancel less than 60 minutes before your ride you’ll be charged a cancellation fee. Cancellation fee amounts can be found in your Uber app. Simply go to the “Reserve” tile on your home page and tap the “Terms & Cancel Info” link for your Reservation.
