The State of Queensland, the City of Gold Coast (Council) and the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation have also put together an interactive map, which you can view here. We will also keep you updated on the specific road closures and provide in-app help to guide you through the Games.

During the Games, the Uber Driver app maps navigation will be updated to reflect these changes, and you will be notified when you enter areas that have road closures.

If you deliver by bike, we suggest using Google Maps as your navigation provider, to help you avoid tunnels and other areas that bikes are not allowed.

You can update your navigation provider in the Uber Driver app by going to Account > Settings > Navigation.

Check for updated instructions

Pickup and drop off instructions may change during the Games. Make sure you check for this information, even if it is a location that you’re familiar with.

Pickups and drop offs

Due to road closures and parking restrictions, you may not be able to park directly outside your destination. If you can’t reach the pickup or dropoff point, make sure you park in a safe location and walk to your destination.

Hotel drop offs

If you’re delivering to a hotel, look for the consumer in the lobby and give them a call. If you can’t find them, check with the concierge desk for further instructions.

Contacting restaurants and consumers

If you’re experiencing delays or can’t reach your destination, give the restaurant or customer a call. They might be able to suggest an alternate route or meeting place.
