Introducing Uber Comfort Electric

As part of our goal to become a zero tailpipe emission mobility platform by 2040, we have introduced Uber Comfort Electric – a new and more sustainable ride option. 

What’s happening? 

As of October 25 2023, eligible driver-partners can now take Uber Comfort Electric trips. Uber Comfort Electric introduces a more sustainable ridesharing choice, by allowing riders to request trips in fully electric vehicles. This option enables riders to travel in zero tailpipe emission vehicles while enjoying a comfortable journey. Uber Comfort Electric is now available in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Gold Coast, with the  initial rollout to a small cohort of riders and plans to expand over the following weeks and months.  Please check the vehicle eligibility list
