Celebrating 3 years in Egypt!

This week marks three years of Uber in Egypt! We’ve come a long way since 2014 and it’s been an incredible journey!

Three years ago today, we started providing safe, reliable, affordable transportation to anyone, anywhere, and at anytime in Egypt. It started with a simple idea that is at the core of what we do: push a button and get a ride!

Today, Cairo and Alexandria are now two of the fastest growing cities for Uber worldwide….and we have you to thank for that.

We shared a lot together during this time, re-discovering our city in quite a few ways—we’ve rode with the windows down to catch the summer breeze, and we’ve delivered winter clothes to those in need. We’ve taken you to dinner and we’ve delivered Sohoor and basboosa right to your doorsteps. We’ve taken you to work, to school, and we’ve had countless celebrities pick you up.We cheered with all our hearts at football matches, seeing Ahly make it to the CAF final, and Egypt make it to the World Cup! We were the shortest distance to the biggest of concerts, and home at the end of it all.
