To help celebrate Earth Day tomorrow, we’ve partnered up with Taking Root, a Montreal-based non-profit that develops community reforestation projects with farmers in Nicaragua. After all, when we planted our roots down in Toronto and Montreal, one of our goals was take make our cities (and the world) a more eco-friendly place!

From paperless receipts, to encouraging people to leave their cars at home, Earth Day for us isn’t just one day in April. We’re always looking to find new ways to make Uber even greener, and this Earth Day, we’re planning something that will surely make Mother nature smile.

For every fare split trip in TO and MTL on April 22nd,
we’re donating $1 to Taking Root.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

  1. Grab a friend and request a ride
  2. Fare split (here’s a reminder on how to fare split)
  3. One dollar will be donated from your ride to Taking Root to help plant a tree. So by sharing a ride, you’re actually helping the earth breathe easier.
