You Ride, We Donate!
Blog Post Update | Thursday, October 23rd
For the last week, we asked Torontonians to #RideForACause by donating $1 of every ride to the charity of their choice. With five amazing organizations involved – CAMH, SickKids, Alpine Ontario, the Boys & Girls Club and True Patriot Love – the most difficult part was choosing which organization to ride for!
We’re blown away by the results and excited to announce that Toronto took just under 2,000 rides on behalf of these five organizations! On top of that, for having the most rides taken, we’ll also be donating an additional $5,000 to SickKids!
Thank you to all the amazing riders who supported #RideForACause! If you’re a non-profit organization that would like to get involved with Uber Toronto, feel out this form!

Thanksgiving might be over, but the ability to give back continues on with Uber! Plus, we figured the turkey might have you moving a bit slower this week, so we came up with a way that lets you continue giving thanks AND pick up the pace: Ride for a Cause.
Our Partners
We’ve partnered with five amazing organizations in Toronto to give back to – the hardest part is picking just which one you want to support!

True Patriot Love
True Patriot Love’s vision is to honours the sacrifices of members of the Canadian Forces, veterans and their families by stepping in where government is unable to fund programs, promote their special skills and capabilities resulting from their unique conditions of service and being a conduit for everyday Canadians, corporations and philanthropists to express their appreciation and patriotism.

CAMH
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada’s largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, as well as one of the world’s leading research centres in the area of addiction and mental health. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy development and health promotion to help transform the lives of people affected by mental health and addiction issues.
Alpine Ontario
Alpine Ontario Alpin (AOA) is a Not-for-Profit Provincial Sport organization promoting the development of recreational and competitive ski racing in Ontario. There are over 30,000 members, including athletes, parents, coaches, volunteers, officials, and partner. SickKids
The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is a health-care community dedicated to improving the health of children. Their mission is to provide the best in family-centred, compassionate care, to lead in scientific and clinical advancement, and to prepare the next generation of leaders in child health.
Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Clubs
Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Clubs (TKBGC) serves 1,300 children and youth between the ages of 6 to 18 living in Toronto’s inner-city communities of Regent Park, in the downtown east and Trinity Bellwoods, in the downtown west. TKBGC provides service to 525 children and youth on a daily basis and serve over 2,650 nutritious meals each week and over.
