Andrew Macdonald is President and Chief Operating Officer at Uber, leading all business initiatives for the company across Mobility and Delivery, as well as cross-platform efforts like advertising, customer support, and the company’s autonomous vehicles strategy.
Previously, he led Uber’s mobility business in 70+ countries around the world, including ridesharing, taxis, micromobility, rentals, transit, high-capacity vehicles, and more. He joined Uber in 2012 as the company’s first general manager for Toronto, and has since helped grow Uber into the largest mobility platform in the world.
Andrew currently serves on the board of directors of Maple Leaf Foods, the world’s first major carbon-neutral food company; Lime, which is delivering affordable and shared micromobility to cities around the world; and Careem, which is building the everything app for the greater Middle East.
Prior to Uber, Andrew was an entrepreneur and a management consultant with Bain & Company. Andrew studied undergraduate business at the Ivey Business School at Western University.
