Introducing on-time rate as a new criteria for Uber Eats Pro
September 16, 2025 / US
With Uber Eats Pro, providing great service to your customers can help you earn more—and delivering on time matters. That’s why, we’re adding on-time rate as a new eligibility criteria for Uber Eats Pro.
On time rate explained
Your on-time rate is the total number of pick-up and drop-off arrivals you’ve completed within the estimated time displayed in the app, out of the last 200 completed arrivals.
To meet Gold status, you will need to be on-time, at least 70% of the time. In other words, you can be late on 2–3 arrivals out of every 10 and still maintain Gold.

What is an arrival?
An arrival is the time you spend to complete each of the following steps:
1) Reaching the store or restaurant once trip has been accepted, and
2) Reaching the drop-off location once the order has been picked up from the store or restaurant.
The time spent waiting at the store or restaurant once you have arrived will not count towards or affect your on-time rate. Similarly, waiting for the customer after you’ve arrived at the drop-off will not count towards or affect your on-time rate.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do batched deliveries work?
For batched trips, each pick-up and drop-off is counted as a separate arrival. For example, if you are picking up two orders from one restaurant, reaching that restaurant will count as one arrival. Then, reaching each delivery location in that batch counts as its own individual arrival.
What happens when there is a delay at the store or restaurant?
The time spent waiting at the store or restaurant once you have arrived will not count towards or affect your on-time rate. Similarly, waiting for the customer after you’ve arrived at the drop-off will not count towards or affect your on-time rate.
What if I get stuck in traffic?
The estimated time shown on the Uber Driver app takes into account traffic conditions. The estimated time is designed to automatically update to account for delays caused by changing traffic conditions. This helps ensure that you don’t ever need to rush to meet your estimated time goal.
What are some safe driving practices?
- Be conscious of your surroundings like pedestrians, bikers, and other vehicles, particularly in neighborhoods and near pickup/drop-off points
- Avoid rushing to meet the estimated arrival times
- You should observe all posted speed limits. Estimated time accounts for traffic conditions
- Try to minimize distractions that could create unsafe driving conditions
