At any given time, Fortune 500 companies have employees traveling in dozens, if not hundreds of cities around the globe. It’s a lot for any company to keep up with while ensuring safety and security remain a core tenant of their business travel program.
Yet today, there are gaps in data when it comes to travel and knowing where employees are when they are traveling for work. Uber for Business and International SOS are coming together to help bridge these gaps.
Uber for Business is announcing a first of its kind partnership with International SOS – a long-time leader in corporate travel security – that will combine the technology of our two companies to help revolutionize business travel. We’re working to bring the same level and speed of innovation that has been seen in the consumer travel space to the business sector, so companies can benefit from the new technologies that their employees already use.
Specifically, our partnership will enhance visibility and duty of care for global enterprise companies. Uber will be International SOS’ exclusive global ridesharing partner, and shared Uber for Business and International SOS clients will be able to get enhanced duty of care features through the International SOS TravelTracker in the coming months.
“Experience shows that many organizations lack a comprehensive approach to managing the duty of care associated with ground transportation. We are excited about working with Uber to better reflect ridesharing in our travel advice and content.”
— Matt Bradley, Regional Security Director, International SOS
When it comes to business travel, it’s expected that there will be 502.8 million person-trips in 2016 in the U.S. alone. Despite this volume, ground transportation is still very fragmented. Each city has their own options, and the ground transportation company your employees use in New York differs from what they use in New Delhi.
Uber for Business offers thousands of companies a standard and safe ground transportation option across more than 400 cities around the world, with digital receipts that include trip information. In fact, over a third of business travelers using Uber take a ride in multiple cities. With our platform, companies can have peace of mind that their employees are at the right place at the right time, and have a reliable option every time, no matter where business travel takes them.
Stay tuned for more information around the Uber for Business and TravelTracker integration this fall.
