Enable Uber notifications in you phone and improve your experience
25 September 2017 / Trinidad and Tobago
We know that when you request your Uber, you always try to stay aware and be ready when the driver arrives. However, sometimes it’s hard to keep looking at the app every single moment and get out of your house and the office without getting distracted. That ’s why Uber would like to send you notifications minutes before your driver arrives, so you can get out of time and have the best Uber experience possible.
Steps to enable notifications
Just follow the example in the image to the left within the app and/or follow the following steps in your cel phone settings:
iOS
- Enter into your cell phone settings and scroll to the notifications section.
- Among the apps in the menu tap on “Uber”.
- Enable the function “Allow notifications”.
- Personalize the notification to your preference (badges, sounds, banners/ etc).
Android
- Enter into your cell phone settings and scroll to the notifications section.
- Among the apps in the menu tap on “Uber”.
- Make sure that the “block notifications” box is not activated or rather that the “allow notifications” box is activated.
Deactivating notifications is entirely optional. I you decide to do so, we recommend that you check on your app constantly after requesting a ride. That way, you can know at what time your driver will arrive and avoid being charged for wait times. Take into account that being ready on time shows appreciation to your driver.
Thanks for for choosing Uber to get around Trinidad!
