We’re excited to announce the first of many hackathons that we will be participating in. Citi® Mobile Challenge, which is hosted by Citi, will be coming to Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in search of the next big thing in Financial Technology. We will be providing participants with access to our APIs and participating as both a speaker and a judge for the event. Our developer evangelists will also be available to assist participants throughout the event, while certain finalists may have the chance to be hosted in the SF office to help bring their hack to life.
What: Financial Technology is transforming the way individuals and institutions engage with money. Citi will be going around the world to search for developers and designers who can take innovation in financial technology to the next level and truly change the way the world banks. There will be two categories hackers can choose from: consumer solutions or business solutions.
Who: If you have a great idea, then Citi wants to hear from you. Whether you work alone or for a leading tech company, if you’ve got the concept and the capability to make it happen, then this is the challenge for you. We believe that the opportunities of using Uber to bridge the gap between Financial Technology and consumers are only limited by your creativity.
Why: Well, the best reason is to help change the world. If you make it through to the demo day, you’ll get to present to top decision-makers from Citi and other key players in the FinTech space. Who knows, you might meet the person or FinTech company who funds your next solution. Citi has already worked with great teams from Latin America and the US and now Citi is looking for new collaborators, from EMEA and around the world.
