A new solution to travel with your child
We are very pleased to announce our newest family-friendly travel option: UberX ChildSeat
Up until today, parents with young children had limited options to move around Brussels in a safe, affordable and efficient manner. This is why we partnered up with Maxi-Cosi to offer parents the opportunity to order a ride via Uber, with a car seat in the vehicle.
Here is how UberX ChildSeat works:
- Open your Uber app
- Enter your destination
- Expand product list by swiping up
- Request ‘UberX ChildSeat’
- Ride with your child safely and comfortably buckled up in a car seat
UberX ChildSeat
With UberX ChildSeat, you will be matched with a partner-driver equipped with a Maxi-Cosi Titan Plus. This seat is suitable for children from 9 months to 12 years old. This multi-age car seat comes with extra padding in the inlay, headrest and sitting area to keep the little ones comfortable all the time.
Your driver has been trained by Maxi-Cosi to install the child seat. While the driver is responsible for ensuring and correctly installing the seat, you are responsible for examining the child seat for proper installation and for properly securing your child into the seat. The normal price of a trip will be the UberX price + a fixed €5 extra.
