If you want authentic Japanese food in Dhaka, Izumi is the place to be. Their sushi and sashimi platter is an absolute delight – an aphrodisiac for any sushi lover. Must try: Tuna Avocado Salad. If you’re not into raw food, they have the best grilled halibut and chicken teriyaki in town.

3. Star Kabab

Nothing, we repeat, nothing, beats Star Kabab if you are in the mood to feast on mughlai food. We recommend the whole mutton leg, marinated in spices and yogurt: falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. Try it with the oil free parathas. Yum!

Started off as a cart selling burgers in Shimanto Square, and then people started braving traffic to go all the way to eat these burgers. Super juicy burgers, with their incredible signature sauces, dripping with cheese, melts in your mouth. An absolute delight.

7. Al Amar Lebanese Cuisine

Hidden away in Dhanmondi, Al Amar boasts the best Arabian food in Dhaka. Their Khabsa Laham is tender, fragrant and has the perfect blend of spices that give off an aroma that can fill your soul.

8. The Pit Grill

If you like your meats meaty and your steaks grilled – this is the place to go. Nestled in Dhanmondi, its the perfect place for a night with boys over a big, juicy steak.

9.  Glazed Donuts

Available in Gulshan, Dhanmondi and Uttara, Glazed’s soft, fluffy donuts are the perfect finisher to the meal. We recommend the De La Cheese, Tiramisu, Cookies and Cream, Double Chocolate… actually just try them all!
