Temporary disruption of service in Dhaka North City Corporation

In accordance with the notice from Election Commission (link here), on account of Mayoral elections there have been some temporary bans placed on movement of motorbikes & cars within the jurisdiction of Dhaka North City Corporation:

Timeline of the ban:

• Motorbikes: 27-Feb, 28-Feb, 1-Mar
• Cars: 28-Feb

Area where ban will be effective:

• Jurisdiction of Dhaka City corporation (Uttara, Gulshan, Mirpur, Karwan Bazar, etc:

In this scenario, to comply with the instruction from EC and to ensure your safety, our Uber services will be temporarily suspended during the aforementioned times and areas.

Please note:

1. In areas outside Dhaka North City Corporation jurisdiction, both our Moto & Car services will remain open (areas like Dhanmondi, Motijheel, Paltan, Old Dhaka, etc.)
2. All our Partner Sheba Kendro’s except Dhanmondi & Paltan spots will remain closed on Thursday 28-Feb.
