The beanies, hot water bottles and piping hot chocolate are out in full force. Winter has officially arrived in SA. *sniff, cough, brrrr*

Uber has teamed up with the Twitter Blanket Drive (@TBDAfrica) to spread some warm, fuzzy winter cheer and help get your blanket donations to those who need them most. And it’s on us!

HOW IT WORKS

• Spread the word at your home or office and collect as many blankets as possible. Two or more would be really appreciated.

• Open the app from 26-29 May between 10am and 3pm.

• Slide to the blanket option at the bottom of the app, select your pickup location and tap on “Request Pickup.”

• Our Uberrr Team will arrive at your location to pick up your blankets for free.

• Your driver will drop your blankets off at your city’s collection point.

• Share pics of your donations using the hashtags, #UberrrLove and #TBD2014

The #TBD2014 official handover of all blanket donations to the selected Non-Profit Organisations will take place on Thursday 29 May.
