Running late for dinner? Share your Uber ETA with the family to assure them you’re on the way. You don’t want to get stuck with the leftovers. Or even better, track your inlaws’ progress so you can make that all-important decision: “more food or just enough time to clean up?”

How to share your ETA once you’ve requested a ride:

1. Tap or slide up from the bar at the bottom of your screen
2. Select “Share My ETA”
3. Enter your destination
4. The app will open up a text message for you with the link to share your ETA
5. The person who you have shared the link with will know when you are arriving home and can track your trip!
