Uber Durban expands to the Dolphin Coast
uberX will now be reliably available in Ballito, Salt Rock, Sheffield and Umhlali!
What does this mean for you?
Starting May 4 2015, you will no longer be able to request an UberBLACK vehicle in Durban. The reason? It has been revealed that the vast majority of Durbanites prefer uberX. To fully reach our goal of being “Everyone’s Private Driver” in Durban, we will focus on expanding and increasing the product that Durbanites prefer.

- A higher quality uberX experience as we retrain all uberX partner drivers on the road
- Lower estimated times of arrival as more Ubers cruise around your city
