COVID-19 Partner Support Letter
This letter can be used to help you when seeking relief from your respective financial and government institution(s) for you and/ or your business, due to the Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent national measures.
Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant
Social relief of distress is a temporary provision of assistance intended for persons in such dire material need that they are unable to meet their or their families' most basic needs.
SASSA is offering relief to those in need as part of the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) programme.With the National State of Disaster as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic a special COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant of R350 per month for the next 6 months will be paid to South African citizens, Refugees or permanent residents, who are currently (i) unemployed, (ii) do not receive any form of social grant or (iii) UIF payment.

Business growth and resilience facility (BGRF)
This fund is targeted at businesses that supply certain products which are needed to manage the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications for the relief are administered on www.smmesa.gov.za and open from 2 April, 2020.
The BGRF will offer working capital, stock, bridging finance, order and equipment finance.
To qualify, the business must be registered with CIPC as a PTY or CC, 100% owned by South African shareholders and its employees are 70% South African citizens. The business must be completely tax compliant and registered with the department of labour for UIF.

SMME Debt Relief Scheme
The fund is geared towards businesses which are negatively affected, directly or indirectly, due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
To qualify, the business must be registered with CIPC as a PTY, CC or a micro, small and medium enterprise that is 100% owned by South African shareholders and its employees are 70% South African citizens. The company must show that there has been a direct financial impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The business must be completely tax compliant and registered with the department of labour for UIF.

Tourism Relief Fund for SMMEs
The Tourism Relief Fund provides once-off capped grant assistance to Small Micro and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMMEs) in the tourism sector to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 in order to ensure their sustainability.
Categories eligible to apply for the Tourism Relief Fund includes travel and related services: Tour operators; Travel agents; Tourist guiding; Car rental companies; and Coach Operators.
