Prove your driving history
Boston
In order to comply with the requirements of Uber's commercial insurance policy that covers you and your passengers, Uber Partners must prove one year of driving history before they can hit the road (3 years if under age 23).
Proving 1-Year Driving History
If your previous driver's license was issued in Massachusetts, please follow 1 or 2 below:
- Provide a photocopy of your previous driver's license after entering all required information at: https://applicant.checkr.com/
- This license must show an Issue Date of at least one year prior to today's date.
- If you no longer have a photocopy of your previous license, please complete these two steps:
- Request a copy of your driving history here: https://secure.rmv.state.ma.us/DrvRecords/intro.aspx
- Upload a clear photo or scan of the letter after entering all required information here: https://applicant.checkr.com/
If your previous driver's license was not issued in Massachusetts please follow 1,2, or 3 below:
- Provide a photocopy of your previous driver's license after entering all required information at: https://applicant.checkr.com/ This license must show an Issue Date of at least one year prior to today's date.
- If you don't have a copy of your previous license, you can do the following two steps:
- Visit the DMV in the state that your previous license was issued in and ask for a copy of your drivers licensing history with the original issue date listed. Make sure the original issue date is at least one year in the past.
- Then upload or scan a clear photo or scan of the letter after entering all required information here: https://applicant.checkr.com/
- If a photocopy or DMV record cannot be provided, please send your most recent state and driver's license number to: ubersupport@checkr.com.
- This cannot be the same as your current license.

If you are unable to obtain the items above, reach out to your previous state's Department of Motor Vehicles and request a copy of your motorized vehicle record (MVR) showing at least one year of previous driving history. Once you have obtained a copy of your 10-year MVR report, please visit https://applicant.checkr.com and follow the instructions.
