Uber is a great way to be your own boss and make money. Most people are eligible to drive with Uber. Here’s what you need to know if you’re driving.

I want to drive under a Fleet Partner
If you aren’t interested in obtaining your own business and carrier license or you need some time to finish paperwork, this option is the best for you! You can start driving within 1-3 days under one of our Fleet Partners.

I want to drive independently
If you would like to be self-employed and drive Uber on your own business and carrier license, please read all the steps you need to complete below:
Sign up online
Do you have an email address and a smartphone? Great, now tell us a bit more about yourself, and let's get started. Download Uber Driver app, which you will use for driving with Uber.
Upload your documents
Time for some paperwork. There are a few documents we need to see:
Personal documents:
- Personal ID (You have to be 21 years or older to start driving)
- Driving License
- Background criminal check (find more information here on how to obtain it in Slovenia)
Company documents:
- Business registration (visit this page for more information)
- Carrier License (more information here)
- Bank Statement (any confirmation from your bank with IBAN and name of your company)
- VAT document
Get a vehicle
Which car is right for you? Make sure it is not 20 years older, has 5 seats and 4 doors, and remember that you’ll make more money if you keep your costs low.
You can still sign up even if you don't have an eligible car right now. Find a fleet that rents cars.
Get your account activated
If you completed the above steps, congratulations! You are ready to be active and start earning.
Approvals of documents & activation may take up to 48 hours. If you don’t get any notifications after 2 days or in case you have any questions, feel free to contact us through help.uber.com or the Help section in Uber Driver app.
I want to drive under a Fleet Partner
Fleet Partners are business owners who, once registered as drivers with Uber, can make their fleet available to multiple drivers based on an employment contract.
If you don’t want to be self-employed but still would like to drive with Uber, you should complete the following steps:
Sign up online
Do you have an email address and a smartphone? Great, now tell us a bit more about yourself, and let's get started. Download Uber Driver app, which you will use for driving with Uber.
Upload your documents
If you decided on this option, you don’t need to have any company or tax documents. You just need to find a company who works with us and have all valid documents and upload them:
- Personal ID (you have to be 21 years or older to start driving)
- Driving License
- Background criminal check (find more information here on how to obtain it in Slovenia)
Get a vehicle
Which car is right for you? Make sure it is not 20 years older, has 5 seats and 4 doors, and remember that you’ll make more money if you keep your costs low.
You can still sign up even if you don't have an eligible car right now. Find a fleet that rents cars.

Add more vehicles for your drivers through drivers.uber.com, you can then assign each vehicle to your driver!

Add drivers
If you completed the above steps, congratulations! You are ready to be active and start earning. Now when your account is ready, you are able to add drivers directly to your fleet account: open drivers.uber.com and start adding the drivers.
Please, prepare their personal documents for registration:

- Driving License
- Profile picture
- Background check
