About the job

Uber is a high growth, fast moving company! Our Marketing Intern in Cluj-Napoca will work closely with our Marketing Manager to close and execute strategic partnerships in Cluj-Napoca, as well as make sure that we are present at all major events in town and there is no relevant opportunity that we miss. Besides, he / she will coordinate the Brand Ambassadors team in Cluj-Napoca. The Marketing Intern position is full-time, with flexible hours, and based in Cluj-Napoca.

Responsibilities

• Marketing campaigns – create & execute interactive marketing campaigns that support rider-base growth
• Local partnerships – Close and execute on local partnerships that drive Uber’s value proposition
• Event management – curate the city’s events calendar and strike meaningful partnerships with local events, venues and brands

You are:

• An exceptional communicator, both verbal and in writing. You are comfortable to giving a 30-seconds Uber elevator pitch to a stranger, you craft clear and concise presentations and stories that get your message across, you are able to communicate to different types your audience and adapt your message
• Born to network and negotiate. If there’s a major event in Cluj, you know about it and know how to get an invitation and build your contact list. You’re a people person with persuasive communication skills and you have what it takes to interact with people and win over strangers. Awkward is not how your friends would describe you!
• A self-starter. You are not afraid to take initiative and act on the marketing opportunities you see. From cold-calling a festival or event to executing complex marketing campaigns, you are always able to go the extra mile to make things happen
• Self-driven: You have superior organizational skills, integrity and great follow through on tasks. You don’t get overwhelmed easily and you always have a high motivation and a smile on your face
• A doer. You are naturally curious. You love learning how things work and gaining in-depth understanding of what you do

Background:

• 1+ years of relevant experience or active volunteering in a student organizationn
• You have a bachelor degree or higher (Marketing, Business Economics or Technical is preferred, but not required)
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and able to produce great presentations, reports and charts
• Great team player and proven collaboration skills
