It’s Going To Be An Uber Throw-A-Thon!

This weekend, 200 teams will gather from all over Pakistan to shape the future with their innovative ideas centered around entrepreneurship and virtual reality.

Uber has teamed up with Netsol Technologies to be the official transport partner for the Throwathon 2016. As part of this partnership, we’ll be providing all Throwathon participants with free rides to and from LUMS University for the weekend.

Faizaan Ghauri, VP of Strategy at NetSol, commented, “We are really excited about this Throw-A-Thon. After the successful one last year, we believe that this year will be the best Hackathon. Moreover, our partnerships with Uber for providing free rides to the participants has created a lot of buzz and excitement all over. We look forward to making this hackathon a huge success.”

During the Throwathon Weekend, Team Uber will be in an around LUMS University, answering participant questions and holding a workshop on disruptive innovation and Uber on Sunday 5th June at 3PM. Moreover, Uber’s Head of Expansion, Zohair Yousafi Pakistan will be on the judging panel of the Throwathon Science Fair 2016!

We’re superpumped about this partnership and excited about everything we’ll get to learn over the weekend from some aspiring Pakistani entrepreneurs.
